by Carol Mockovak, Becketwood Member
Every Tuesday morning from June through September, members of the Becketwood T’ai Chi Chih classes carpool down to Hidden Falls Regional Park. At 9 a.m., they join people from the surrounding communities to practice the slow, meditative movements of T’ai Chi Chih by the Mississippi River.
The beauty of the location -- with birds flying overhead, the river flowing past, herons keeping watch, fish jumping, and dogs patrolling the shores of the opposite bank -- creates a feast of the senses.
The free practice is now listed with the St. Paul Parks and Rec programs and is on the Minnesota T’ai Chi Chih teachers website at www.mntaichichih.com.
