Carpet Installation Schedule

*Becketwood is getting a facelift! To help inform the Members, this blog is simply a letter to the Co-op from Executive Manager, Debbie Richman. 


 It’s Finally Here – The Carpet Installation Schedule!

This project will begin next Monday, September 30. I am providing the Master Schedule today so you can see what will be happening when. Details and/or changes for each week will be emailed and posted the Thursday or Friday before.

This weekly information will be critical for you to read as there will be details about changes to getting around the building, changes to meals and other important information. PLEASE read these weekly updates and let me know if you have questions.

We will do a blog post and post on our Facebook page as well – there is no such thing as too much information with this one.

Here is the schedule:

September 30 – October 2:  The stairs by “Becky Wood” and the hallways on 2nd floor. (DOES NOT INCLUDE the Windsor Room, Game Room or Fitness Center.)

October 7, 8:  Solarium

October 10, 11:  Library, Coffee Shop, West Ramp (NOTE: Watch for details on changes to West elevator access)

October 14, 15, 16:  East Hallway, Convenience Center and East Ramp (NOTE: Watch for details on changes to East elevator access)

October 28, 29, 30, 31:  Wellington Room (NOTE:  This will also include the East and West Dining Rooms as the Wellington Room furniture will be moved into those spaces. In addition – there will be changes to meal service for those 4 days. Details will be posted on how to order and receive meals. NO MEALS WILL BE CANCELED.)

Please remember that some of these areas will need to be cleared of furniture prior to the actual work, so that may happen in advance or it may happen the morning of the work, depending on the days in question. Our maintenance team will be taking care of this so be aware that non-emergency requests during this time may take longer than usual. Once completed, things will need to be moved back and that may be the day after completion of the work, depending on when the installers actually finish an area.

If you have any questions at all – please let me know as soon as possible. I will do my best to keep you notified if anything changes.
